Did Fox News Misidentify A Japanese Nightclub As A Nuclear Power Plant?
There are not enough facepalms in the world for Fox News’ geography failures.
… Sendai is in the north, right? o_o Not where they labeled in in the southern tip?
lol
Via reddit, Democrats.org addresses policy while GOP.com attacks people
Surprise!
Nice to see they’re also peddling their merchandise loud in your face.
Merchandise includes: ‘Fire Pelosi’ mug, ‘American Exceptionalism’ calendar (they said it, not me) and ‘Annoy a Liberal’ button.

I know now why Tumblr hasn’t been working for me.
that’s cool and everything, but i’ve got 2 better words:
fuck yourself.
i never forget, either.
My grandfather was there too. But he wasn’t a racist prick.
I don’t want to live on this planet anymore.
Japan invaded my parents’ home country, the Philippines; the Japanese army killed at least one of my relatives in the war.
Later, the United States and the Allies won that war.
In the intervening decades, Japan became — and remains — an ally and friend of the United States.
Let’s all move on from Janelle Cook, an ignorant piece of shit.
Really? What Japan was then is not the same Japan today. That’s like saying I don’t care about Germany because of all the Nazis.
I’m from the Philippines too.

This photo really hit me hard.
Wow. This is the kind of thing you see on disaster movies, but the thing is, this is real.

Why do people automatically assume this image is real because someone says it is? Does anyone check TinEye? I don’t need to because this is one of the most horribly photoshopped pictures I’ve seen (former graphic design major) but I did anyway. Come on, guys. We don’t need to spread around misinformation or a blatant fallacy to get people aware/active.
Is this even physically possible? I don’t think tsunami could even hit land like that, unless if the wave is caused by a meteor. Maybe.
And even if it could happen, this picture is completely unrealistic. It looks like a mural.
How hard is it to look at an image and be able to tell if it’s digital or real?
…I don’t feel so bad for mistaking the Emergency Alert System for an Amber Alert now.

BBC World Service interrupted on OPB radio for amber alert
Apparently Amber Alert has multiple meanings…?
Evidently, I’m an idiot.
I changed it to “EAS: National Weather Service blah blah blah; JC doesn’t know the difference between missing children and tsunami warnings.”
